The Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre is a non-profit, community-based agency dedicated to helping youth, between the ages of 13-18, overcome substance abuse issues and other related challenges in order to achieve a healthier lifestyle. A full range of treatment programs are available to help youth move through the continuum of engagement and motivation, to treatment, to continuing care, all in a supportive environment. All programs offered by the Centre are offered at no charge to the clients.

With the invaluable support of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, and the community at large, the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre has been serving young people and their families from all backgrounds since 1993.

Dave's Ultimate Auction
On March 6th, 2008, Dave Smith himself will bring his entertaining banter and legendary auctioneering skills to our  signature fundraiser for the Centre. The  Eighth Annual Dave's Ultimate Auction, presented by Alterna Savings will be held  at the Hampton Inn Ottawa & Conference Centre. Proceeds raised during this entertaining evening will go towards helping even more Ottawa youth with their daunting battle over substance abuse while providing support to their family's during  difficult times.

ENCON GOES THE EXTRA MILE

The DSYTC has been very fortunate to have forged a new and exciting partnership with ENCON Group Inc.  This partnership will not only provide the Centre the much needed financial support in order to facilitate our programs for young troubles teens, but will also allow both our organizations to build and grow together for the betterment of our community as a whole.

ENCON’s objective is to go that extra mile for the Centre.  They have assembled a team of employees who are donating their weekends this fall to give the Centre an ‘extreme office makeover’.  With brush in hand they will be painting, repairing, furnishing and decorating the Centre.  ENCON has allocated $5,000 for the Centre’s ‘new look’.

ENCON’s support will span several avenues including; staff charity BBQ’s, internal fundraisers, sponsorship of our 2006 Holiday Card Campaign, Gold Sponsor of Dave’s Ultimate Auction and volunteering. In total over $10,000 in support will be donated.
