The Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre is a non-profit, community-based agency dedicated to helping youth, between the ages of 13-18, overcome substance abuse issues and other related challenges in order to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

A full range of evidence-based treatment programs are available to help youth progress through the treatment continuum, all in a supportive environment. 

All programs and services offered by the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre are provided free of charge to clients.

With the invaluable support of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC), Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), and the community at large, the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre has been serving young people and their families since 1993.

Dave's Ultimate Auction
Thank you to our sponsors, item donors, guests and volunteers for the 9th Annual Dave's Ultimate Auction.  Close to $50,000 was raised through this event and these funds will directly support the youth and parents of this community that need our help battling substance abuse.

The Maharaja’s Ball will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at the Westin Hotel.   Six hundred guests will experience the spirit, the splendors and the spices of the Maharaja’s palaces.  It promises to be an extraordinary and magical evening highlighting the life of the Maharaja’s.

The silent auction will display a sample of handicrafts from the various regions of India. Jewelry, sculpture, brass work, metal works, silks, paintings, carpets and many other art forms will be highlighted. 

Various local artists will be featured in several live dance and musical performances.  The dinner hour will feature different cooking stations/tents interspersed between several authentic buffet tables.

The 2009 event will support various Child and Youth Literacy Programs in the City of Ottawa.

ENCON GOES THE EXTRA MILE

The DSYTC has been incredibly fortunate to have forged an exciting partnership with ENCON Group Inc.  This partnership will not only provide the Centre much needed financial support in order to facilitate our programs for troubled teens and families, but will also allow both our organizations to build and grow together for the betterment of our community as a whole.

ENCON’s objective is to go that extra mile for the DSYTC.  They previously assembled a team of employees who donated their weekend to give the Centre an ‘extreme office makeover’.  With brush in hand they painted, repaired, furnished and decorated the Centre's 1st and 3rd floors. 

ENCON’s support has and will continue to span several avenues including; staff charity BBQ’s, internal fundraisers, sponsorship of our "Sponsor a Youth" Program, Gold Sponsor of Dave’s Ultimate Auction and volunteering.
